Get to know me beyond writing!

 

Hi! My name is Bella Baia. I am a former Student-Athlete Water Polo player from UCLA. I have a  deep passion for leadership development, coaching and writing. When I am not on a pool deck coaching or writing, you can find me participating in one of my favorite hobbies: hiking, surfing, reading, traveling or eating at new places! I am a person who is deeply motivated by quotes. The quote: "Hustle beats talent when talent doesn't hustle" has hung next to my bed since my high school days. This quote keeps me determined and centered throughout each day. Lastly, my values are extremely important to me, and they are what make me, me. Faith, Family & Friends...That's my life motto.

OF THE MONTH

The June pick of the month is the one and only, Win Forever, by Pete Carroll and Yogi Roth. Not only do I want to highlight this book for the month of June, but it also remains as one of my all time favorite books! This book resonates with me specifically because of how the authors articulate their definition of competition. I had an AHA moment when reading their book, and Coach Carroll's coaching philosophy had a positive influence over me as I developed my own coaching philosophy. Enjoy the read!
